Antonio and Gottschalk.png

Antonio's performance will take us on a 100 year journey of Cuban classical music, much of it never before recorded.  The begins with Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1869) and is told chronologically as each important Cuban pianist-composer passes along his musical influence to the next in line. Starting with Gottschalk and continuing with Saumell to Espadero to Cervantes to de Blanck, through Ernesto Lecuona and his distinguished composer sister, Ernestina.
